Kudos to Cindy Kirk for elaborating on goals for the grant and revealing assets and opportunities identified by community stakeholders. Most importantly, it’s the people of Montevallo who truly make a difference. Other assets identified include Parnell Memorial Library, our parks, American Village, David Mathews Center and the close proximity of our educational institutions. Opportunities include the provision of parenting education, infant childcare, translation services and technology education for parents and grandparents. It’s always so special to gather with others who are passionate about supporting education from cradle to career.
